The piece was crafted by artist Alejandro Chihuaque Arias\, who dedicated 4 hours a day for 4 months to bring this impressive creation to life\, proudly sharing his culture and traditions with our community. \nThe Baile del Torito de Petate is a tradition rooted in Tarímbaro\, Michoacán\, and other regions of Mexico. These figures\, made from cardboard\, reed\, and paper\, are animated by dancers as if they were puppets\, creating a colorful and symbolic spectacle. With origins tied to African heritage and popular legends\, the torito represents life\, death\, and abundance\, becoming a cultural expression that unites the community and honors our roots. \nWe invite you to take a closer look at this extraordinary work and recognize the talent and dedication of Alejandro Chihuaque Arias.
