Express your voice\, celebrate community\, and win cash prizes in the official Raíces Festival 2026 Essay Contest! \nThis Year’s Theme:\nThe Door Opened for Me / La Puerta que se Abrió para Mí Illustrate a moment when someone welcomed you in\, made you feel like you belonged\, or gave you an opportunity—literally or figuratively. \nContest Rules & Guidelines\n\n\nEligibility: Open to any Middle School or High School student residing or attending school in Clinton County. \n\n\nFormat: Essays must be typed\, double-spaced\, and should not exceed 500 words (or approx. 1–2 pages). \n\n\nHow to Submit: Drop off your physical printed essay or email your submission to Esmeralda Cruz at the Purdue Extension Office (1111 S.
